Sometimes I like to keep things close.

It’s not that I don’t like to share. Not exactly, at least. But some things come with a certain degree of sanctity, and I think it’s best for others to just respect that. Like secret family recipes: you can enjoy the dish, but the ingredients are strictly off limits.
So it is with my heart home, a place in which I don’t physically live but in which my heart resides. My heart home is for me and me alone, so I’ll refrain from sharing its location, at least for now. But photos? Well, I love sharing photos.

  1. Oh my gosh, JOY, really, I am blown away by the progress I notice in your photography (this coming, of course, from one who is not trained in photography). Honestly, I have always felt a careful and conscious eye behind your lovely photos, yet looking at the sunrise photo! (was that the one from Port Hope?) and the unique angle of your sky photo with the parent/child interaction that captured such sweetness!! whoo hoo. And the photo with the birds, where I do not doubt that your focus and care there allowed you to capture this uplifting moment. (get it~uplifting~ : ) ). I know you love it. And I love your photos. And you. : D xoxooo Amy

  3. I agree. The angled one with the people in the corner is very nice.

  4. Such a gorgeous collection of images!! I love the rustic door, it’s texture and the rust on the lock…fantastic :)

  5. Thank you all! I think the positive feedback just proves that beautiful photos come from shooting what you love, all the technical stuff aside.
